I love Soviet-era commieblock areas and buildings both in former USSR and in Eastern Europe. Highway ("Magistraal" in Estonian) takes me through such areas and some nice blocks are located right next to them. I am happy that I can enjoy these buildings and areas in my hometown Tallinn every day. (In case you wanted to see shopping mall Magistral in Mustamäe, please go to https://magistral.ee.)

646 Põlva 22.10.2018
New Maksimarket building.
Old flax-factory buildings.
In the centre. This was a soviet-time shop Kajakas (Seagull). I am absolutely sure that the entrance was at the corner where now a big window is. Looks like the other side of the building didn't need that high staircase since it is on a slope.
The library and I think there are more than that. It used to be light green, I think nicer than this.
Culture house on top of the hill.
Former Maavalitsus building.
Former post office.
Former high school.
Former library building (it was on the first floor).
Bus station has a painting.
