I love Soviet-era commieblock areas and buildings both in former USSR and in Eastern Europe. Highway ("Magistraal" in Estonian) takes me through such areas and some nice blocks are located right next to them. I am happy that I can enjoy these buildings and areas in my hometown Tallinn every day. (In case you wanted to see shopping mall Magistral in Mustamäe, please go to https://magistral.ee.)

109 Aseri in summer 2012
A small town called Aseri. The only thing I've ever heard about this place is by someone who visited it (or just drove through) and she told that it was depressive. Well, although Google Earth should shed some light about this, I just drove through in a bus in 11.08.12 and did few shots from the window. I guess I understand why it may seem to be depressive, but on the other hand, once it was really stylish and nice!
I don't know if this one is refurbished old or brand new.
The dereliction begins.
Isn't that nice?
I see that there are newet buildings as well.
