409 Pärnu road in Tallinn 2005-2008

I've realised that for me, the "first" part of Pärnu road in Tallinn, that is from the centre of Tallinn to Järve shopping center, seems like an architectural object of its own. One of the coolest views are along this street, just like much of very nice architecture, not necessarily all commieblocks.

Tammsaare way. The cross of Tammsaare way and Pärnu road is one of the nicest places in Tallinn.

Very beautiful building.

This is the pale backside of nice dark brown houses close to Kosmos cinema.

The right part of that far away building was still low.

East-Tallinn central hospital, also known as Magdaleena hospital (in Kitseküla).

Also in Kitseküla (Goat Village).

Very nice new building.

Some views from the other side of the viaduct.

Liivalaia street.

One of the nicest long distance views in Tallinn, nearly 1 km directly.

Zoomed in.

My favourite view again.

Today that red building, a former diary factory, does not exist anymore. Instead, there are two highrises.

The back side of Tallinna Ehituskool (Tallinn Construction School).

View from a taller building in Liivalaia street. Very beautiful Finance ministry building is also visible, demolished by now -- yet another architectural crime in Tallinn.

And at last, the construction progress of Pärnu road 139a.

First, this is how it used to be originally.
