355 Kaagjärve 28.07.2014

I thought that this time (last July) I won't go directly from Valga to Hargla but take little bit different route. It was a very good idea because I saw an interesting place.

That's what I saw from the road, looks abandoned.

Yes, abandoned. Sad reality for country life.

There were three main blocks surrounding an imaginary square.

I went up the hill.

Abandoned!

And another one!

How terrible!

So the hill part was mostly full of abandoned houses...

There is another one down the hill.

Local public library.

Back down the hill.

On the other side of the road, right where I was heading to, were many old houses. Well, none of them can be considered a block but I thought I'd add these anyway, including the manor.

Local Kaagjärve convent.

This area was also known as Mäemõis for different industrial purposes.

ENSV Põllumajandusministeerium Kaagjärve Sovhoos.

2.5 km further is the "main" manor itself, later used for children.
